Lark Dances

for String Quartet

A reimagined electronic piece for string quartet.

With the pandemic of 2020-21, I, like many people, felt depleted as I wrestled with the shutdown. It was a perfect time to reflect on my past and revive this work for string quartet. It was originally commissioned by Jeanne Ruddy Dance as an electronic piece and had a week-long run in 2009. The quartet was premiered by the Fairmount String Quartet in 2022 and they have included it on their recent recording project featuring female composers.
